It's been 5 years now, 5 years since I decided to jump into the void and start a business. With the unconditional support of my partner, my family and my friends but alone, ultimately. Starting a business is always a personal and non-transferable decision and, although having the support of your close circle is a luxury, the final push always comes from yourself. It is a moment of madness in which you decide to pursue your dream above the fears and doubts that will also accompany you all along the way.
“Wish it, dream it and do it”: This is the quote I have had in my office since day one.

I think my desire to be an entrepreneur also comes from the need to be myself. 5 years ago I felt a very strong need for changes in my life. After almost two wonderful decades in the world corporate, I felt a huge and unstoppable desire to go out, to meet new people who inspired me, to see different ways of doing things and to reconnect with myself and my essence. Those of you who know me will have heard me explain in a very visual way how I felt at that moment: I was like a “hamster” trapped in a wheel that spins non-stop. Do you remember the Volkswagen advertisement?
I studied economics and business administration and I started in the company in marketing, in the exciting world of automotive paints ☺. An incredible experience for a recently graduated young woman. After 8 years, I realized that the product did not interest me as much as the people; In the end, teams were what made projects work. I was lucky to be in a company that was very open to development and to have the support of my managers at that time. Thanks to this, I started in the People (HR) function with a great desire to change things and make an impact.
There I found my passion and my profession: accompany people and teams to be their best version and facilitate the transformation of organizations to face challenges and generate a positive impact on society. There I learned and lived the importance of inclusive and empathetic leadership, which allows people to flourish and makes them shine. But I also discovered something even more important: accompanying people through change. There I learned that development never stops and that it is endless.
He was very clear that, although true and sustainable change must begin from the leadership, it is only consolidated below, from the base, empowering and involving people, because people are the only engine of change.
From this passion comes an idea, the spark that ignites Ready for People. An idea that is based on a need that I experienced directly during my time within an organization. Although the leaders and the people area knew what we wanted to achieve and were very clear about the direction to follow, it was difficult for us to get it started. “Traditional” training and development plans were not working. Change today is so rapid and unpredictable that relevant and impactful actions are those that are carried out continuously and at the moment the need arises.
At once, Finding effective development solutions quickly and agilely was complicated. Finding impact professionals, formats, designs and methodologies takes time and effort: it requires being very up to date and having a network that is not always there when you are within the company. I imagined that it would be great to have a place where, for each need, they would offer you different options, be able to choose the one that best suits each moment and adapt it to your context, thus streamlining the selection, purchasing and implementation process.
With this idea, Ready For People was born, to make it easy for you and make development never stop in your organization, continuously accompanying people through the change and transformation of your company. Connecting with the best professionals in each field, and providing the appropriate formats and methodologies to be able to impact with all your development actions.
My passion is the development of people, teams and organizations, but my personal contribution is not from the role of trainer, coach or facilitator. I believe that each person has their own talent and that each professional brings unique value to the world of development. My purpose and that of the Ready for People team is to ensure that development never stops, facilitating access to great professionals, formats and solutions at all times and for every need.
This statement reminds me of this phrase from the Little Prince (Antoine de Saint-Exupéry) that I love: «I wonder if the stars light up so that one day, everyone can find their own?». Connecting fantastic professionals who provide the development that your organization needs is illuminating stars so that everyone, at every moment, can find theirs. No?
This was 5 years ago now. 5 intense years with successes, but also with many mistakes and learnings. A roller coaster of many joys and emotions, but also of insecurities and fears. And above all, 5 years with a lot of development.
I am no longer the same, and neither is the team. Our clients and partners have also evolved. Development never ends and is a continuum in our lives and our companies.
When I look back, I think I am very lucky to have made it this far. Feel
incredibly proud of the team we are and the community of customers, partners and
friends that we have known how to create and who are our strength. Millions of thanks to everyone.
Above all, I feel like it was worth it. We don't know what the uncertain future holds for us,
but here we are and we will continue betting so that development never stops.
